Laura J Vintage Valentine Fair

We came over all lovestruck on Saturday 13th February as the Laura J London Vintage Valentine Fair got underway.
The trendy Islington shoe boutique is our sole London stockist and as a special Valentine treat we got to take over the whole back end of the shop with gorgeous FKV treasures all carefully hand-picked to get your hearts in a flutter.

Our pals at Lady Luck Rules OK were there with a dazzling array of necklaces, pin brooches and earrings. We particularly loved the love token necklaces, which came complete with a hand drawn Valentine illustration. Up and coming East London designer Bann Bee was also there with her beautifully handmade underwear, so pretty it would make even Cupid blush.

With the clothes, shoes and accessories taken care of, it was only fitting that we should have a make-up artist too. Good job the talented Lucy Freeman was on hand to transform ladies with fierce diva looks to rival Dita, lashings of false lashes and more demure options for the gals who were going on romantic dates that evening.

But no Valentine's event is worth it's weight in chocolate hearts without a beautiful goddess to entice all the revellers in the door, and our Aphrodite came in the shape of the extraordinarily talented Bella de Jac.

Armed with an oversize fan of ruby red ostrich feathers, Bella was a living breathing mannequin as she performed her famed fan dance in the shop window to stunned passers by.

More performances followed and whether she was smouldering in her stunning red silk gown, preening in the mirror, or whispering sweet nothings down the telephone in her makeshift shop window boudoir, Bella was the ultimate siren, catching the eyes of Islington's Shoppers. Big thanks to Bella and everyone involved for making this the best Valentine's ever!
