French Kiss in Paris: Day 1

When a beautiful invitation for the Kenzo menswear show at Paris Fashion Week arrived at French Kiss Vintage HQ, we decided it was high-time to book a Eurostar and head back to our spiritual home for a weekend of fun, fashion... and patisseries.

The train was so quick we barely had time to plough through our ample research (gathered from a variety of sources including a collection of stylish chums with their finger on the Parisian pulse, a dog eared issue of Time Out Paris and a personalised PDF tour generated by our favourite online city guide unlike.net).

On arrival we jumped on a Metro to the Kenzo head office where our friend took a momentary break from a packed day of model castings, show looks and fittings to generously hand over the keys to his apartment. Free accommodation for our entire stay? The weekend was off to a great start!

Located in the Marais district, the flat was a typically Parisian pad in a private courtyard. After dumping our giant suitcases, we decided to hop on a Velib (one of the city's pay-as-you-go bikes) and explore our new neighbourhood.

To be continued...
