We may have put in an embarrassing performance at The World Cup and eluded the Wimbledon trophy for yet another year running, but on Saturday 17th July old Blighty redeemed herself in a series of sporting triumphs at the annual Chap Olympiad.
This year's tournament attracted no less than 1,500 exceedingly well dressed patrons, all of whom gathered in Bloomsbury's Bedford Square Gardens to participate in a series of most unusual sporting endeavours - anything from cucumber sandwich discus, to umbrella jousting whilst on a bicycle. Spectators could also amuse themselves with live music, sideshows and refreshments.
The exceedingly eccentric event was hosted by the fellows at The Chap Magazine along with Bourne & Hollingsworth - our favourite place to grab a whiskey and ginger ale.
