Models Ruth and Sian arrived in due course and promptly changed into the first outfits of the day. Sian exploited her tricks of the make-up trade to evoke a spiffingly good wartime era look, set against striking Victory Rolls for the hair. Then without a moment to spare it was off into Patricia's enchanting garden to frolic in rusty wheelbarrows and take tea on the lawn.
Time for another wardrobe change - this time all out coiffed glamour for a debutante feel. Sian and Han were all undone elegance as they perched on a distressed blue bench in OTT pouffy prom dresses. Meanwhile, a somewhat staid tea party scene was scrapped at the last minute as the diminutive and elegant Ruth was placed on top of the table to exhude a powerful regality and achieve one of the winning shots of the day.
After lunch, we powered through to the last shots of the day: Disco Showgirl. In what resembled a kooky performance art piece, Sian got all tangled up with the stringy, shiny tape of an old cassette dressed in a fabulous batwing gown with a sequin and feather fascinator, while Patricia languished on the stairs with a bottle of champagne resting on her circus girl lace and shimmery green dress.
Han, dressed head to toe in gold lame, turned a few of the neighbours' heads as she kicked back with wild abandon on some old storage cupboards in the stairwell. And in the stark white corner of the corrider Ruth balanced precariously on Seb's guitar amp. All in all it was a great day and French Kiss Vintage want to extend a huge thanks to everyone involved. Next up, the Boudoir shoot, we can't wait!
